The name change is weird but I am not going to be too hung up on it.
From what I can see the changes are good. It has all the good stuff from Windows 8 but dumps a load of the annoying parts by bringing back a start menu and letting fullscreen metro apps run in scalable windows.
I will be upgrading to this OS when its released some time next year.
